Warranty Policy

Effective Date: August 29, 2026

IKNXUSA is committed to supplying professional-quality KNX, building automation, lighting control, energy management, and related products.

IKNXUSA is independently owned and operated by InstallAV, Inc., an Arkansas, USA corporation.

Manufacturer Warranties

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing by IKNXUSA, products sold through IKNXUSA.com are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, if any.

Warranty terms, coverage periods, exclusions, procedures, and remedies vary by manufacturer and product.

Customers should review the manufacturer’s warranty documentation for specific coverage information.

Warranty Claims

If you believe a product purchased from IKNXUSA is defective and may qualify for warranty service, please contact us before returning the product.

Provide the following information when possible:

  • IKNXUSA order number
  • Product manufacturer and model number
  • Product serial number, if applicable
  • Description of the problem
  • Installation and application information
  • Photographs or other documentation when relevant

IKNXUSA will assist in determining the appropriate warranty procedure based on the product and manufacturer’s requirements.

Do not return products without prior authorization.

Warranty Evaluation

A warranty claim may require inspection, testing, troubleshooting, manufacturer authorization, or return of the product before warranty eligibility can be determined.

IKNXUSA’s acceptance of a product for evaluation does not constitute approval of a warranty claim.

The manufacturer may make the final determination regarding whether a product qualifies for repair, replacement, credit, or another remedy under its warranty.

Installation and Programming

Many products sold through IKNXUSA are professional building-automation components requiring appropriate design, installation, wiring, configuration, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Manufacturer warranties may not cover damage or failure resulting from improper installation, incorrect wiring, incorrect voltage, improper programming, unauthorized modification, misuse, environmental conditions outside the product specifications, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions.

Products should be installed and commissioned by appropriately qualified professionals and in accordance with manufacturer requirements and applicable electrical and building codes.

Compatibility

Customers and system designers are responsible for verifying product suitability and compatibility with the intended system, application, electrical characteristics, communication protocol, software version, mounting method, and other equipment unless compatibility has been specifically confirmed in writing by IKNXUSA for the particular application.

KNX certification or protocol compatibility does not necessarily establish compatibility with every device, application, electrical system, or project requirement.

U.S. Certifications and Listings

Where IKNXUSA identifies products as UL, ETL, cDEKRAus, or otherwise certified or listed, customers should review the specific product documentation and applicable certification information before specification or installation.

Certification requirements may vary depending on the product, installation method, application, and local jurisdiction.

Products Damaged During Shipping

Products received with visible shipping damage should be reported to IKNXUSA as soon as possible.

Customers should retain the product, original packaging, shipping carton, labels, and packing materials and provide photographs when requested.

Shipping damage may be handled separately from a manufacturer’s product warranty.

Warranty Remedies

Depending on the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and the circumstances of the claim, available remedies may include:

  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Manufacturer credit
  • Other remedies provided under the manufacturer’s warranty

Refunds are not automatically provided for warranty claims and are subject to the applicable warranty and IKNXUSA return/refund policies.

Labor and Other Costs

Unless specifically authorized in writing, product warranties generally do not include reimbursement for installation labor, removal, reinstallation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, travel, shipping, lost time, project delays, or other incidental costs associated with a product failure.

Any manufacturer-specific warranty terms that provide additional coverage will apply according to that manufacturer’s warranty.

Special-Order and Custom Products

Special-order, configured, programmed, custom-manufactured, or project-specific products may be subject to additional manufacturer warranty requirements.

The fact that an item is non-returnable does not necessarily eliminate an applicable manufacturer’s warranty for a verified product defect.

Limitation of IKNXUSA Warranty

Except for warranties expressly provided in writing by IKNXUSA, IKNXUSA and InstallAV, Inc. do not provide an independent product warranty beyond the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
